Missing Automation Feature between Boards

Hey everyone,

Im trying to make following automation work:

When a card FROM BOARD X is copied INTO BOARD Y → add LABEL GREEN from Board Y.

By now I can't seem to make it work. Am I missing something or is there any chance this is added in the near future?

Automations are board-specific, and the automation triggers do not look at the originating board of the card. So unlikely you'll get that automation to work as-is.

You can get around that in a number of ways:

1) Make the copy action in Board X an automation, instead of using the base copy functionality. So perhaps a Card Button or adding a specific label to the card will add the Green Label and Move the card to Board Y. etc.

2) Have an automation in Board Y that triggers when a card is Added to the board. Or rather Copied in to a specific List, if you're specifically looking for Copied cards. But importantly, have an indirect way to recognize that the card comes from Board X. Perhaps cards titles are formatted in a certain way, they always have a certain label, etc.
