I have monthly recurring checklists with due dates. Each month when the card repeats the due dates are the older dates from when I set up the recurring card and I have to go into each item and manually alter the due date for the current month. Is there any way that I can set due dates like this: 5th, 10th, 15th, etc; instead of 5/5/23, 5/10/23, etc?
I am just starting to use trello so I am sure I am not using it to its capacity but my checklists are growing and having to alter each individual item in a list of 30-50 items is tedious. I am also technology challenged so it is very possible that I am doing this the hard way and there is already a fix for this that I just haven't found.
Thanks!
Brandie
Hi Brandie,
Our new multi-day select option can be combined with a new “find card” action to help you create scheduled repeating cards. Repeated cards are copies of an original card that reside on the same board.
I highly recommend having a read here:
More Power for your scheduled Trello Card Automations
We also have a Cascade option in the Automations tab so you can apply any actions on all your checklist items like this:
You can add the action to adjust the checklist item's due dates either on the 5th, 10th, 15th of the month:
This is what a sample rule will look like where you can create a trigger when a new checklist (Select checklist name) is added to a card, set action to adjust all the checklist item's due dates either on the 5th, 10th, 15th of the month:
For all things Automations, please have a read through here as well:

I hope I answered your question but I understand that there is a bit of a learning curve here. First time setups might seem too daunting but once you get the hang of it, this will be easier than manually adjusting each and every checklist you have :) Let us know if you have any more questions or if I missed anything here.
So I have one checklist with multiple items all with different due dates. But it looks like with this I will need multiple checklists like "due 5th of the month" and all the items on that checklist are due on the 5th of the month and when I set this up they will all change to the 5th of each month? Am I understanding this correctly?
This is what I currently have:
One Checklist
item - due date 1st
item - due date 3rd
item - due date 5th
and so on...
What it sounds like I need to use this feature:
Items due on 1st Checklist
item - due date 1st
item - due date 1st
Items due on the 3rd Checklist
item - due date 3rd
item - due date 3rd
and so on.
Is this correct??

Hi Brandie,
Thanks for sharing your context on the checklist. Here is an updated solution to have an automation that works with one checklist with multiple items all with different due dates. These due dates will then be moved to the next month, but with the same day.
Below, I have one checklist with items that have different due date days for the current month of September. They could even have 1st or 3rd of that month. Some I've marked as complete.
When the month of October comes, when the card repeats the due dates are still the dates from above? Are they also checked off?
If so, you can have the option to create a card button that can help unselect the checkboxes and also move the due dates to the next month which is October. You can find these Actions in the Cascade option tab and checklist tabs. The order of the Actions is important.
Here's a Youtube tutorial on how to create card buttons: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fBwJEfhPUYM
Once I have created the card button, I can then use it on the recurring card and it will adjust the checklist item due dates to the next month:
I hope this helps but do let me know if I misunderstood anything or if I'm missing any context. Let me know if you have any questions too, happy to help!
