Is there a way to set a custom field in a linked card to the same value as the trigger card?

I have a rule setup as above, but I'm getting the warning: [The current list of options for custom field "Project Engineer" doesn't contain the value "".] when the rule is triggered.  Is it possible to reference the value of a custom field on the trigger card?  I also tried just using {{%Project Engineer}}, but I get the same warning.

You need to change the last part of the automation to:

 

Set custom field Project Engineer to {customfieldvalue}
