Is there a way to add group tags or custom tags?

For example, I want to do something like @Developers or @Designers on a card, similar to @card and @board, and only certain people will get notifications. Is there a way to do that?

You can't create custom notification groups, but you could do this: 

Create a list called Teams. In that list, create a card for each group you may want to notify and assign the group members to that card .

When you want to notify that group, you can @card that Teams card with the message .

Would that mitigate your issue?

Hmm I don't think that's what I'm looking for since we're tagging people on a card to get their attention on that specific card but thanks for letting me know I can't do that. That was mostly just a discussion between me and a co-worker and we agreed it's nice to be able to do something like that but it's really not a big deal!
