Is there a way I can not have to drag all the way from bottom to top as a high priority?

This way I won't have to drag and wait so long until it arrives at top of a column. Let me know!

Hey @Brian Shaw - there's a couple of ways you can move the card without using drag and drop, depending on whether it's a new, or existing card.

If it's an existing card, you can right click it, click on "Move" and change the position in the list there.

If it's a new card, you can double click the position in the list ("between" other existing cards) where you want to place the card, before creating it - that'll pop the card creation dialog open in that position.

Alternatively, you can use the "^" character in the card creation prompt to place the card. For example you could enter "My excellent card ^top" which would place the card "My excellent card" at the top of the list. This also works with numbers, to specify the position, for example "My excellent card ^3" would place the card in 3rd position from the top.

Hope this helps,
Felix

Hi Brian,

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Speaking frankly, I don't quite understand what you're trying to achieve and what kind of trouble you're going through.

Just to make sure we're on the same page here, could you please walk me through it?

Are you moving a card manually within a list from bottom to top? Is Trello too slow to respond to your actions?

If so, are you using Trello in your browser or in our desktop app?

Also, is only one board affected by this issue or many? And does it happen all the time or sporadically?

If that's not the case and you're just looking for a simpler way to move a card within a list, you can take advantage of Automation rules or buttons. For example, you can trigger a rule that when a card is updated in a specific way, it should be moved to the top of a list. Or you can create a button on a card that would perform the same action.

Here's some more information on this: https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/butler-overview/

I'll be happy to look into this further when I have more details!
