Is there is a way we can get Trello notifications to appear for due dates that have our names by them within a checklist of a card? Does anyone on the team get notified about these items in a checklist - in the same way they would if there was a due date on the entire card (ie-1 day/1 week/1 hour before)?
There is no notification for due date for advanced checklist item. You have to create your own.

@milynnus - I'm new to Trello and testing it out for my team assignments. What intrigued me to try it was being able to assign people within Checklists. I see your response to the original poster stating this is not available in Trello but you can create your own. However, I'm completely at a loss on how to do that based on the coding you provided. Is there a very simple "how to steps" based on your reply for a non-technical person? Curious if I should forego the Trello trial and look at a different solution all together.

I have not found an easier way to do this for items. Sometimes rethink the workflow helps. As I am not as familiar as it am with Trello, I am fairly convinced that it offers enough flexibility to handle most use cases. What it lacks is intra board permission just to name one feature that is oftenly asked members here.
