How does a member access a document on a card

Hi, we have 3 members on our team. When one member posted a document on a card, the other members have to request access to the document even though they are members on that card. What are we doing wrong? Thanks.

Is the document a link to like Google Docs for example?   Trello is just holding the link for you so when people click that link the service (google docs or Dropbox) has to authenticate you. If you want Trello to do all that you have to upload the actual file to Trello (export it from that other service as a pdf)
