Welcome to the Community! Firstly, I would recommend reading this Trello support article on 'How to Transfer Boards to a New Account' as this could help your situation.
However, there are a range of ways this can be done and I'm guessing because it's entitled Staff their may be private information on this? To keep anything from being spotted on the public setting, my recommendation is for your previous pastor Paul to invite you to the board assigning you as a board admin and then leaving the board / as admin you can remove him.
