How do I disable the autowatch "feature" in Trello?

This "feature" totally doubles my time in using the product because I do not need to watch any of these cards as I comment and then pass it off to someone else. Please tell me there is a way to disable this...this is a very aggravating update!

Hi Christopher,

Indeed there is! When you're typing a comment, you can uncheck this box to not watch the card. This is also a 'sticky' setting, so it will remain unchecked on all further cards until you check it again:

Have you got another method for doing this as what's described above isn't working for me at all.
Every time I enter a comment on a card it automatically ticks 'watch' again. How do I get the 'sticky feature' to work?
