How do I add members to a team

I'm trying to add a team member.   I type their email address and it says there's no one here by that name.  Invite them.  But invite them isn't a link.  That's not very helpful, is it?  And isn't invite them what I was already trying to do?

The search field shown in the screenshot can only used to search for existing team members. You can invite team members via the green "Invite Team Member" button on the members page to invite them.
