How can I set a Board so students can comment, but not edit?

Kara Lukin September 24, 2018

I am setting up a main board for a class to grab information and post about their success and struggles and tricks. However, I don't want any students to move anything on the Lists, delete things by accident, etc.

How can I set the board so that members can see the board and comment in cards, but not edit the board in any other way?

Thank you.

Kara

Hello @Kara Lukin,

You can do so with the paid version of Trello, see Changing permissions on a board:

  • Observers - An observer is a member with read-only access to a board. (Observers are only available to teams with Trello Business Class).

You can then configure your board so that Observers can comment on cards.

Hope this helps!
