Email to board address always puts the entire email body into the trello activity

Is there any way to put some form of code in an email chain so that trello will only add the comments above the code into the activity.

We CC the email for this card link into our responses to enquiries, when the person replies back with the email link still in the CC field, the activity in Trello has the entire email body of text (and all images as attachments)

This quickly becomes annoying if there are several images in the email (in signature blocks, as well as attachments)

It would be nice to have the option to only post to the activity the latest message. Ideally it would be an option that could be changed per card so you could post a new email to a card and include all the history if you wanted, then change it so only the new messages get posted.

@Bradley Henry

Probably not with Trello's native email to board feature.

I wrote my own equivalent of email to board with a couple of added capabilities like creating checklist, start and due dates etc.

Given that the entire email is available at the endpoint including the cc (cardlink) and the email body in plain text, it should be possible to come up with a solution.

I will probably not expose the card email but put it the lookup or have the email embed something like Our Card Reference: {cardid},

The reply_plain seems to offer what you need to built a solution
