I want to automatically let cards marked with a ➡ move to today when a card is overdue. I want to seeI them in my calandar every day.
Unfortunately this only works when I add the ➡ symbol on a card that is already overdue. Cards to which I added the symbol yesterday and that are overdue today, do not move to today.
Here is the rule I made:
The rule is enabled.
What could be the solution?
Hi Jan! Welcome to Trello community!
In this case the automation won't trigger because you added the "➡" before the card is due. And in the trigger will work only then you add the sign to a card that already contains an overdue date.
If you want that the due date changes automatically on a card that has the "➡" sign, I'd suggest the following due date automation:
the moment a card with a name containing "➡" is due, set due date today at 8:10 pm
This way, when the card becomes due and the name of the card already contain the "➡" it will update the due date for today.
Hope that helps!
Hi Luciana,
thnx.
I cannot seem to find the trigger "the moment a card with a name containing "➡".....
Can you help me with that?
One more thing: I seems to trigger a card being set to thursday 8:10 pm being set to the same day at the same time. So nothing changes. Am I missing out on something?

Hey Jan,
Sure! you will find that trigger by clicking on "due date" automation type on the left side and then choosing out of the trigger options. In my example I used the moment a card.. and I clicked on the icon on next to that option to filter using the "with a name containing filter.
After adding a trigger you will click on the date action type for the actions and see which one of them will better works for you.
For example if you want that the card that is due needs to be set to the same day at 8:10 pm you can select "set the card today at 8:10pm
But there are many other options like, move the due date to next week, next day, etc
It would depends on what you need.
I'm also sharing some additional resources about automation type that can be helpful: https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/create-and-manage-automations/

I found a way around the same day problem:
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Awesome!! :) Glad to hear that!
