CustomField value update from API

I created a Number type custom field on the board and trying to update cards value. I am getting error as "Invalid custom field item value". Sharing screenshot for the same below. Any suggestion what wrong I am doing here?

@Gaurav Srivastava the custom fields API is a pretty dark art, if you want a reference implementation you can see my Card.setCustomFieldValue implementation in Trellinator here:
