I have cards that I would like for individual board observers/ members to edit content however restricted from editing other cards or setting or creating new cards? I use the add member to allocate the card and change from Observers to Members, but then they were able to edit their card and everyone else's as well.
.
Hi @Thy Nguyen
I don't think that such capability exists in Trello currently. There is another post here https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Trello-questions/Trello-members-restriction-from-cards-editing-and-deletion/qaq-p/2098001 with the same question
Hope that helps!
Hi @Alex Koxaras _Relational_ thanks for your response.
Unfortunately, the tips suggest doesn't apply for the current situation as we use the board as a notice board and will need all observers to access all information on the board and for people that would like to post their information has been sending them through o me and sometime its for minor updates.
So is there a rule I can use to make this happen i.e. card owner rule: when admin add an “owner” to a card /list/ board it automatically authorise them to edit that card/ list /board only? Maybe it is easier adding in the rule than creating specific standard function at your end.
As workspace and Board admin it is the key to freeing up my time and put onerous on card "owner” to provide correct information. Please push it up the line for me, thanks
