Butler rules for repeating & archiving variant lists

K Walters March 24, 2021

Our meeting takes place every week on a Monday and I would like to create a new list of agenda items each week and archive the previous one.  The list should contain the date of that meeting. Bit stuck on how I do this and would appreciate some guidance.

To explain further:

So every Monday the current list of agenda items (e.g. 'weekly meeting - date of meeting'), should archive (list & cards in the list) and the next day (every Tuesday) Butler should create a new list which has the date of next week's meeting in the list title.  This cycle should repeat; every Monday the list archives after the meeting takes place and the next day a new list is ready for the meeting next week.

Can anyone help please?

Thanks!

@K Walters something like this would do it:

If the list should have a bunch of cards prepopulated you could also use "copy list" instead of creating a new one.

The "every tuesday" trigger is in then "Calendar" section of Butler.

@K Walters

You probably need a set of cards on a list somewhere on the board. Use the calendar to set a trigger card which will in turn be triggered to gather all the cards in that list into link on a temp checklist and for each card linked to item in Temp, copy over the card to a list using something like "Weekly Meeting - {isodate}" and then find trigger card and archive it.
