I know you can put an automation to a list that when a card is added to the list a specific label is automatically added.
My question is a bit different. A list contains a number of cards. When I add a specific label to a card in a list, is there an automation where all cards in that list get the same label? So something like 'if label X is added to a card in list Y, add label X to all cards in list Y'.
I cannot use the automation I refer to in the beginning, because adding the label depends on an uncertain situation in the future. It is only when this situation occurs that the label will be added to the card manually. With the requested automation, I want to avoid adding the same label manually to all cards in the list. Thanks for your insights.
Hi Raïna - welcome to the community!
There isn't an automation available to bulk update all cards in a list with a label.
I understand that you mentioned that adding the label depends on the situation so when a card is added to a list, applying a specific label, might not be suitable for all situations.
You could add more details to the automation to highlight a specific scenario. For example, "when a card with a name starting with ..., or with a due date, or with a specific custom field, is moved to a list, then add the label to the card."
Alternatively, you could use the keyboard shortcuts to add labels to the cards. If you hover over each card, you can press "l" to select the labels or press the number key that corresponds with each label color. Hopefully this helps reduce the number of manual clicks to add labels to cards!
I hope that helps!
