when a card with the "Checklist" label with the green "Norwex" label is added to list "Facebook Party: In Progress", set custom field "Host" to "{cardname}", set due the next wednesday at 9:30 pm, for each checklist item in a checklist named "Norwex Facebook Party: To Do List", convert the item to a linked card in list "Facebook Party: To Do List" using pattern "[{cardname}]({cardlink})", set due the next wednesday at 9:30 pm, set custom field "Host" to "{triggercardname}", set the card's description to "{cardname}", add the green "Norwex" label to the card, join the card, unsubscribe from the card, and sort the list "Facebook Party: To Do List" by custom field "Host" ascending and then by title ascending
I have the above code to convert checklist items to linked cards, which used to work. I have recently come back to use it again, and it is only converting 2 of the items out of 19. It is not even the first or last two, it is items 1 & 4.
I can't find anything that is specifically the same or different about these two items, and there are no failures in the usage log, only those two items being converted.
Hi @Jennie Griner ! I had a read through our rule and I don't see anything wrong with it - based on how it's written, I don't see any reason as to why it wouldn't work.
However, I'm not understanding how the screenshot you shared corresponds with your rule. Based on how your rule is written, the check-items should appear like this after the action is applied:
Also, when you said you re-enabled the rule, are you able to clarify the steps you took after re-enabling the rule? The action should trigger only when a card with both the "checklist" and "norwex" labels applied is moved to a list called "Facebook Party: In Progress". When that happens, any existing check-items in the "Norwex Facebook Party: To Do List" checklist will turn into linked items (following the [{cardname}]({cardlink}) pattern as displayed above). Any new items added to that checklist will not be turned into linked items.
Hi @Hannah Humbert - Simpla Workflows Thanks for taking a look.
I have a template card that contains the checklist in the screenshot above. I create a card from that template onto the "Facebook Party: In Progress" list thus triggering the command. I included the whole checklist in my original question to see if maybe there was something I was missing causing it to misbehave on the other list items since every time I do this, it only creates cards from 2 of the checklist items.
Here is the after I create new card from template:
Checklist:
To Do List:
Usage Log:
There are no failures anywhere in the usage log, but you see it only creates two cards, and every time I test (except for once) it creates the exact same two cards.

That seems strange! Can you try to recreate the behaviour by creating a card manually rather than with the template? I'm wondering if creating a card from the template has something to do with it 🤔 it might be worth reaching out to Trello support as well to see what's going on.

Unfortunately, all methods of creating a new card with a checklist already in it (template, copy, move card) all have the same result. I'll reach out to support. Thanks!
