Improve Custom Fields Power-Up

Edited

I would like to recommend the following enhancements to the Custom Fields power-up:

  1. Create sub-categories of input types. e.g. New Field -> Text Field -> Phone Number. Automatically formats 5551234567 formats to "(555) 123-4567".
  2. Enable regular-expressions option to text field to let power users format input any way they want.
  3. Allow Text fields to accept markdown formatting.
  4. Please allow a phone number detected in a card to dial with a singular iOS prompt. Phone numbers are currently detected in the iOS app in custom fields but it requires 4 presses in order to initiate a phone call: Press the number, press "open", press "yes" to the confirmation, followed by the final iOS prompt to make the call.

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out about this.

We don't currently have this work planned, but I'll note this down for our team to look into in the future. In the meantime, you could also look into third-party Power-ups such as Smart Fields which give you some more options.

Thanks,
Ryan

@Denver Tech Support Hello.

Formulas in SmartFields are Javascript. So you can do any calculations and formatting.
