Hello Saddan,

This is Jesse from the Statuspage support team. Thanks for the question about component colors.

Are you referring to the uptime showcase of a component or just the component status itself?

For the uptime showcase, the assumption is that at 100% uptime, that is considered green. Data coming in would mean that there was downtime, and would change the uptime showcase appropriately. What you can do is add a start date to the component. This would make anything before that start date as grey. Anything after that date would default to green though.

For the component status itself, the color is reflected based on the status. You can change these colors in the colors section of "your page."

You could also use custom CSS to color things as you like as long as your plan supports custom CSS.

Hopefully, that helps you out!

Regards,
Jesse

Hi Jesse,

Thanks for your reply.

We are just creating a component and not giving any APIs data, still we are seeing the bar as green.

Can we change this to grey?

Regards,

Sdadan

Hi Saddan,

Unfortunately, no. When components are created, their default state is to show 100% uptime for each day after that start date, regardless of how they are created. The recommendations I gave above would apply for the API or through the interface.

If the color is all you care about, you could temporarily change the green color to grey in the customize section but beyond that, components are created with the status being operational and the uptime b eing 100%

Regards,
Jesse
