Hello,
I am aware with the Slack integration you can filter by component for alerts, however this is just for the component status. If you select to receive incident alerts is there anyway to filter which components you receive incident alerts for to a channel?
Looking at the integration document this doesn't seem to be possible but wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a work around?
I have seen this forum post however this seems to be just about filtering by component (which will just alert to component status change) and does not relate to incidents on a component.
Thanks,
Phoebe
Hey @John M ,
I am looking to make a product suggestion for this exact thing.
Where should I submit that?
https://jira.atlassian.com/secure/Dashboard.jspa says "contact support".
If I go to https://support.atlassian.com/contact/#/ and choose "Product suggestions" from the dropdown it leads me back to https://jira.atlassian.com/secure/Dashboard.jspa
:)

Hi @Rob van Wijngaarden ,
It looks like we already have a feature request logged for this under STATUS-587.
As of now, Statuspage feature requests are not publicly available and can only be submitted internally.

Hi Atlassian Team,
Is there any update on STATUS-587? This is a product feature request to be able to specify the Slack channel to receive incident updates by component. I'm looking to have this work for Slack channels.
Thanks,
Sunny

Hi @Sunny Yee
I just checked STATUS-587 and at the moment the status is still 'future consideration.'

Hi @Sunny Yee
Unfortunately, we don't get too much information on when each individual features will be rolled out. At this time, I don't see it on any short term sprints.

Hi @Phoebe Black ,
At the moment, there is no way to filter for incidents related to a particular component. Leaving the 'incidents' checkbox checked will send updates for all incidents, regardless of component. As you mentioned, the 'components' checkbox is only for sending updates made directly to the component. As of now, I don't believe there are any workarounds for this outside of first sending the updates to Opsgenie and then filtering them and sending from Opsgenie to Slack.
