Automating recurring maintenanice status

I have to schedule weekly and monthly maintenance for both production and non production environments every month. Is there a way to automate the process so I can establish a recurring maintenance status ?

Hi Sarath,

Good morning!

Can you be bit more elaborate here? What are you trying to maintain and what do you want to schedule? Are you using Atlassian Cloud solution or Onprem solution? Do you have heavy customizations into your JIRA solutions? Are you kind of doing any automations currently to update/upgrade/maintain?

One thing to go with is, do it in small steps. List out all the activities you need to do as part of maintenance and achieve it bit by bit using scripts! As far as Atlassian products are concerned, if it is 'cloud solutions' you do not really worry about maintenance!!

Hi Rohith

My org is using the Status.io  to do the maintenance activity. I am new to the group so I am not sure if I can automate through JIRA and tie into the status.io page. Adding a screen capture of the https://manage.statuspage.io/login

We have monthly server maintenance every 4th Thursday evening. Several services are not available during the maintenance update. I want to try avoiding retyping and reposting that maintenance notice each month if possible.

Hey Sarath,

Welcome to the Atlassian Community! Nick from the Broadcom team, long-term Statuspage customer.

There currently isn't a way to schedule recurring maintenance in Statuspage. One thing that we did for one of our 14 pages is add a custom banner to the bottom of the page, just under the components section which states about recurring maintenance:

https://wss.status.broadcom.com/

I know this isn't ideal, but it's a start. You'll need to be on a plan that supports custom HTML/CSS/JS.

Thanks,
Nick
