Sourcetree won't install on windows 7

Attempt to install software and the box shows up blank and doesn't provide any errors.

SourceTree is using IE in the background to get to https://id.atlassian.com, so you need to figure out why IE is blocking that site. Make sure you use a supported version of IE.

There is also an issue logged for it, SRCTREEWIN-7949, check it out and also add yourself as a watcher in case there is a workaround or a fix for it.

I found that my IE11 was running in compatibility mode. When I went to tools, compatibility view settings, and uncheck this option, then the URL was loading. I was able to find the root cause by looking at the IE11 console logs.
