Sourcetree won't install on windows 7

Attempt to install software and the box shows up blank and doesn't provide any errors.

SourceTree is using IE in the background to get to, so you need to figure out why IE is blocking that site. Make sure you use a supported version of IE.

There is also an issue logged for it, SRCTREEWIN-7949, check it out and also add yourself as a watcher in case there is a workaround or a fix for it.

I found that my IE11 was running in compatibility mode. When I went to tools, compatibility view settings, and uncheck this option, then the URL was loading. I was able to find the root cause by looking at the IE11 console logs.
