Do only administrators have an option to 'add gadget' to dashboards?

Can only administrators add gadgets to dashboards or can we give permissions to users to add gadgets?

Only Administrator/owner can add gadgets to the System Default dashbaord. But, any JIRA user can add gadgets to the dashboard if he/she owns it.

Hi Jennifer,

Any dashboard owner can add gadget to their own gadget. Eg: userA is not administrator , but he has created the dashboard himself. Thus, he can add a gadget to the dashboard.
