When trying to create a zip file to send you, 'JIRA > Admin > System > Atlassian Support Tools > Support Zip'.

this appeared to work, i got message:

Your support zip file has been successfully created, and can be found at:

The following information was included in the zip file:

which you can see says 'success' but does not give a filepath.

Hi Joe.

Thanks -yes there was a support.zip there, but i then found it was incomplete.

Turns out the resolution was here, JSP-145825

"

This is caused by permissions on the filesystem for that directory. To fix this, please take a look at our JIRA Generates a FileNotFoundException due to Permission denied KB article. Essentially, the fix is to modify the permissions with the following:

sudo chown -R jira:jira /var/atlassian/application-data/

sudo chown -R jira:jira /opt/atlassian/jira/

Hi James,

Your Support ZIP should have been created and placed into your the 'Export' folder of your JIRA Home Directory.

Usually it has a name like this : JIRA_support_2012-12-06-15-54-23.zip (the numbers at the back signify the date and time in which it was created)
