Can I customize the issue key (issue ID) in Service Desk Cloud?

Tony Pieri

I'd like to customize the issue key (issue ID) in Service Desk Cloud. I'd like the key to be in the format M-yyyy-mm-dd-###, and I'd like the numbering portionto start over at 001 each day if possible.

I know I can make some simple modifications to the basic key format (i.e., set a few capital letters that appear before a number that rises sequententially as issues are added), but I'm not seeing anything that will let me do something more elaborate in service desk cloud.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

No, the format of a JIRA issue key is <project key>-<sequence>

The project key is a little configurable, but that's it.

(I'd also advise against your format in general - it's not memorable enough for humans to find it useful)
