Hi, I am trying to create an integration rule where I could use multiple alert processing rule set so that i could receive different alerts for open, close, acknowledge from single integration. My source of all the alerts coming to opsgenie is same (email address) but i want to create different alerts (open, acknowledge, close) based on subject of the email depending uopn importance of email. I tried it using alerts filters where it matches all the conditions where it checks source one and subject to open an alert (rule 1) and source two and subject to close the alert(rule 2), and so on.. my rule 1 works fine but the following rules doesnot work.

How do i make it work for such scenarios?

Hello Badal,

Thank you for contacting Opsgenie Community!

Opsgenie prepares an alert template according to first matched Create Alert Rule. Once the alert is created, only then the Close, Acknowledge and Add Note To actions are checked. This means, you need to have an open alert in order to process Close, Acknowledge and Add Note To rules.

For example: I have an alert A1 which was created via Create Alert rule R1. Now if I receive another payload from the same integration source, which satisfies the close alert rule condition, the alert would be closed.

If you have a specific use case, please feel free to open a support ticket with us here and we'll take it from there.

Regards,

Nayan
