Opsgenie Insight integration on cloud

g.davitaia April 6, 2022

Hi Community,

We are facing an issue - we are using JSM Premium, have made a service catalog, and want to show the objects on the Opsgenie incident templates.

For now, only the system "Service" objects are shown on the Opsgenie incident screen and it is not configurable.

is it possible to create a new insight custom field for Opsgenie?

Thank you,

Hi @g.davitaia ,

This is Darryl. I am here to help.

Do you mean you expect to include some other fields from the Insight in the Jira Service Management cloud to be configurable on the Incident Templates of Opsgenie?

Please help us understand this inquiry.

Further to the details, the Insight in the Jira Service Management cloud is to track the assets, configuration items, and resources to understand and visualise the critical relationships between applications, services, their underlying infrastructure, and other key dependencies.

Kind regards,

Hi Darryl,

To answer your question - Yes, the case is next - we have the insight object field "Business Service" which shows objects coming from the insight catalog, we need this field to be visible on Opsgenie templates.

Thanks,

Gvantsa

Hi @g.davitaia ,

Thanks for the further details.

Unfortunately, this is not feasible in the current design to map the fields from the Insight of JSM to Opsgenie Incident Template.

However, I have created a feature request on your behalf, JSDCLOUD-11187, please vote it and set yourself as a Watcher to receive the latest updates.

Thank you very much for your feedback in helping us improve our products.
