Help on setting up incoming automation rules.
Goal/Initiative: I would like to have a custom field or link on my JIRA that allows a user to select or click a "Page L3". The action will then fire off a trigger to Opsgenie that will initiate the on-call action.
Note: we're using Opsgenie as a way to page on-call after hours support.
Question: Right now I'm using the "Create Alert" with the condition of "Priority" = Highest. This current configuration is not meeting our needs. Is there a way to setup a custom field or link on the JIRA ticket that when a specific custom field is selected OR the link is clicked by the user, it will initiate the Opsgenie alert?
Are you using the default integration between Jira and Opsgenie?
If not, you can achieve it by using Jira Automation. The trigger of the automation would be the "edit" of a field or even a manual trigger of the automation.
