Hello,
Wanted to report that I am using Opsgenie v3.7.0 on iPhone 15 and currently believe I have some type of hearing damage from an alert that went off while I had my headphones on. Previously (maybe before this version) when an alert went off it was delivered via the build-in phone speakers and never went through the headphones. Is there a way to address this issue on my end or is there a way to fix this in the app? The pain is mild but this is pretty serious in terms of having this happen frequently.
Hi @irvincg
Welcome to the Atlassian Community.
I am sorry to hear about your experience.
While I understand Opsgenie notifications played on iPhone while having headphones on, this is not a feature from the app itself. You should be able to manage how your receive your notifications on the device.
By default, iOS notifications play on hadphones whenever they are connected.
Regards,
Eugenio
Odd because that's not how it was working. I did look around to see if that could be changed and will continue to do so. I would ask that Atlassian ask for a change with iOS/Android to allow the audible alerts to only be delivered to the speaker. I would not like to be rendered deaf.
