Creating a schedule with members from different time zones

Lee Payne August 1, 2024

We currently have support teams located in the US, UK & India and would like to create an out of hours rotation schedule to cover the times when no team is online.

So for example when the UK team are on-call they would only need to cover the hours where the US & India team are not online and visa versa, when the US team are online they would only need to cover when the UK or India team are offline.

Any advise would be appreciated
Thanks.

OK after revisiting the Time constraints page I've worked it out..
When creating the schedule set the time zone to UTC and then set the required hours to be covered. This then adjusts for each team within their timezone as long as they have their timezone set correctly within their profile..

Hi @Lee Payne welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Although I wouldn't be able to provide you with the exact solution to your question, this documentation article might help you to understand the Time constraints and time zones in Opsgenie.

Thanks for your response, yes I've already taken a look at that link but still wasn't sure how to setup a schedule. The PagerDuty product seems to deal with this type of setup using configuration layers within a schedule and I was hoping Opsgenie was the same...
