Creating a Jira ticket when an alert meets certain criteria in OpsGenie

Can someone help my fully understand how to create a Jira ticket when an alert meets certain criteria in OpsGenie? I'm a new user to both.

Hi @Randy Everett ,

You can have Opsgenie alerts create Jira tickets with both types of Jira integrations.

With our Legacy integration, this other Community article should help with getting things configured within Opsgenie. You can edit the filter of the "For other Opsgenie alerts" section to only have certain alerts create Jira issues:

With our Jira Cloud integration, the connection between your Atlassian site / Jira and Opsgenie would be synced. You should be able to determine whether or not that's the case by adding a new cloud integration, and seeing whether or not it's shown like so:

If that's the case, you can add a new integration, and configure an Outgoing Automation rule to create Jira issues for certain Opsgenie alerts:

If you do not see the connection made between your site, you can try connecting it within Opsgenie under the Settings tab >> Atlassian products tab:

If no luck, you should use the Legacy integration. Hope that helps.
