Has no one else noticed the lack of enhancement within the OpsGenie product? Jira, Confluence, and the other products have a way more active stream with enhancements and upgrades.
Check the Atlassian Cloud Roadmap site, and you'll see hardly any enhancements and the ones you do see are more back-end account administration of the product.
OpsGenis competes with PagerDuty, but it seems that Atlassian has abandoned the platform. Does anyone else think the same?
Hey @Glenn Gonzalez ,
As @Howard Nedd mentioned Opsgenie team is indeed focused on improving the connectedness between Opsgenie and other Atlassian products to provide a smoother flow between the two. As can be seen on our Roadmap: https://www.atlassian.com/roadmap/cloud?selectedProduct=opsgenie that the current updates are on improving the Administration of Opsgenie via Atlassian and further here: https://www.atlassian.com/roadmap/cloud?category=itsm&selectedProduct=jiraService which are for bringing the Opsgenie ITSM features to JSM.
Hope this helps answer your query.
Kind regards,
Muhammad Zeeshan
Hi @Glenn Gonzalez ,
I agree that it has not been entirely clear as in roadmap-wise.
Opsgenie had a few minor updates recently:
Atlassian has added new integration methods for JSM and JIRA into Opsgenie.
An important point to note is that Atlassian is adding a lot of functionalities from Opsgenie into JSM (regarding incident management).
Open a serviceproject in your JSM instance and navigate towards: Incident Management. If you click on any of the features that are not rolled out yet in JSM you will see that most of these options are similar to those of Opsgenie.
I don't know this for a fact but it looks like Opsgenie will be pushed into JSM step by step but as long as this is not the case I would recommend to either use whatever that is essential to your organisation from Opsgenie as long as there is no clarity (roadmap-wise) or contact Atlassian directly to ask what their plans are in the long run.
Hope that helps,
Regards
Howard

Thanks. Being in JSM, doesn't help folks who have invested in OpsGenie. Let's see if any Atlassian folks chime in here.
