Can I merge two issues and resolve it as one?

Sometimes I´ve got two issues from the same user and even the topic is the same. I´d like to merge these two issues and turn them into one, this way I could resolve it as one, but im not sure if it´s possible. Thanks.

You can link them and close the other one as duplicate.

For proper merging them into one there are add-ons that can do this. Take a look here.
