workflow "back" button?

I have common action that moves issue to some special state like "freeze" from any state of workflow

is there any way to create "back" button to return to previous state?

It is not possible by default. You can however make use of the JIRA Misc Workflow Extentions plugin : https://studio.plugins.atlassian.com/wiki/display/JMWE/JIRA+Misc+Workflow+Extensions+Documentation

Create transitions from "freeze" back to all other states and use the "Previous State Condition" to hide/show the transitions.
