unable to link Jira issues

Im unable to link the issue types in Jira, though the option is activated in the configuration. Please advise.

Are you able to see the Link Issues option when viewing an issue?

Do you have the Link Issues permission within the project?

What happens when you try to link issues? Do you get an error message? Can you provide a screen image of what you see?
