I did an export to look at overall time spent on a specific SQL query. the output has 2 columns for time spent. One his time spent , the other is £TimeSpent. The totals in each column are different. Not sure which column is the appropriate values. Question is What does the £ prefix denote? What is the purpose of this column? Its critical that I get the accurate data.
I suspect you are using £ to represent Σ
If I am right, then Σ is the mathematical short-hand for "sum of the following". Time Spent is a (calculated) field on an issue saying, well, how much time has been spent on the issue (usually calculated from the work logs). However, an issue can have sub-tasks, which can have their own time-tracking data. So "Time spent" is "Time spent on this issue" and "ΣTime spent" is "Time spent on this issue and all its sub-tasks".
That is exactly the case. Thanks so much for the quick response.
