separate permissions to jira & confluence

Hi,

 

we have jira & confluence running on the same server and integrated with activie directory for granting the permissions.

would it be possible to grant the permissions separately to jira & confluence for the groups derived from LDAP?

Yes, both systems have their own internal permission systems.  USers and groups can be used completely separately in both.  For example, if you set up groups for jira-users and confluence-users, you can have two totally separate sets of people able to use the systems, even though both of them are in the same LDAP directory.
