jira.attachments.not.uploaded.title Errow when trying to upload attachments

Alex January 11, 2018

Hi,

Did some research but couln't find anyone else with this issue. As of today whenever anyone tries to upload an attachment into an issue we get the following error:

jira.attachments.not.uploaded.title
jira.attachments.not.uploaded.description

Everything was working up until today and all the permissions are as they were before. Seems to be an issue across the system as it is affecting every project.

For anyone that encounters this issue. Seemed to be an internal problem.

Spoke to Veera from Atlassain and the issue was that we needed to add

https://*.atlassian.com to the domain whitelist so that the media server is accessible from the network.

 That's correct @Alex.

Atlassian store files in our media server: https://api.media.atlassian.com. So if the restrictive firewall or proxy servers are used in the customer's network, whitelisting https://*.atlassian.com will fix the issue.

Customers may see 504 Gateway error in the browser network tab if the media server is not accessible from their network.

We are seeing the same issue across Jira and Confluence Cloud instances. I have logged ticket JST-359197 with them, and also referred to this question.
