how to auto-populate the custom fields based on the attachment is added?

Hi Guys ,

whenever the issue got updated with the attachement. Jira should read the attachment 

Attachment will have the Planned deployment Date , Deployment Start Date , Deployment end date.

I have created custom fields like  

Planned deployment Date 

Deployment Start Date

Deployment end date.

When they attach the document to the issue then it automatically Parse the document fileds (Planned deployment Date , Deployment Start Date , Deployment end date.) and update on the screen.

This is not a native functionality of Jira. But you can get the attachment information out through REST and you will have to build a script to manage the data. It can be messy with lots of codes in, but you can manage something.
