how do we link an existing User story to EPIC?

i am trying to link an already existing User story to an EPIC. The instructions says just add the EPIC Link, but i am unable to see the EPIC Link on the Jira page

if you are an admin you can add the Epic Link to the edit screen. If you are on cloud go to the issue detail view and click the Admin button (old issue view) and add field.

Hi @Neha Narang - Further to what @Jack Brickey said, if you're on a next-gen project in Jira Cloud you can add an issue to an epic using … > Add to epic. Screenshot for reference:
