Xray - how to Create filter for failed Test Cases within a Test Execution?

Dear all,

Could you help me please. I was trying to create a filter to report the failed test cases for one test execution (The test plan has several test executions and one test is assigned to multiple Test Execution)
So but I have to list and report the failed test cases separately for each of the Executions.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi @Pankaj Mehta and @jira automation

If you need to find failed Tests in a Test Execution, you can use the filter and the TesRunStatus field to show only the Tests that have failed.

If you are looking for a report, you can use the Test Runs report: https://docs.getxray.app/display/XRAY/Test+Runs+Report

On Cloud you have similar options:

And the Test Run List report: https://docs.getxray.app/display/XRAYCLOUD/Test+Runs+List+Report

Kind regards,

Are these extended JQLs available in Cloud Jira? I am looking to export a similar report but unsuccessful in finding the right queries. Please advise. Thanks

@José Domingues [Xray] any solutions for using the extended JQLs in Jira cloud or any other solution to filter out the failed test cases in a test execution in jira cloud?

Hi @Antal Tratnyek

You can use one of our enhanced JQL queries, in this case, the testExecutionTests, will return a List of Test issues associated with the input Test Execution. On of the parameters of the queries is the status and there you can select the failed status.

So, it should be something like this:

issuetype = 'Test' and issue in testExecutionTests('<TEST KEY or TEST FILTER>', 'FAIL')
