Hey there,
I'm currently facing an issue of the Work Log tab has gone missing. I've read somewhere that in order to get that tab in the first place, we need to have the time tracking to be enabled.
But before the tab went missing, we've never enabled the time tracking in the first place (at the time we were new to Jira and we still are), but its always there for us to log manually.
As you can see from the image above, that was the old screenshot that i found where it has the Work Log tab.
But now it looks something like this:
I couldn't find any documentations about this, or maybe I'm not understanding it very well, but would appreciate if any of you could give me a hand on this.
Thanks.
Hi @Amirul Hakim ,
Welcome to the community !!
This could be because any of your Jira admins have hidden the Time tracking field in the project field configuration. You can go to Project settings --> Fields and click "Edit Fields". Search for Time Tracking and click against it.
Please note: If the field configuration is shared with different projects, changes will be applied to all the shared projects.
More details about the time tracking is in https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/configure-time-tracking/
Hi @Amirul Hakim ,
Check your time tracking provider. As far as I know, the only way to remove "worklog activity" is by selecting another time tracking provider. Even we have a special application in the marketplace which only does this. It is WorklogPRO Companion. My be you have installed a time tracking app which caused duplicate worklog activtiy tab and you have intaled that app to disable Jira's built-in worklog activity tab. Later you have uninstalled time tracking app and forgot to enabe Jira's built-in time tracking provider.
