Hi,

We are aware that services like Exchange Online and Office 365 will be deprecating support for basic auth in IMAP and POP.  In turn this would prevent a Jira Administrator from being able to connect a Jira site to such a mailbox to process incoming or outgoing messages in the current versions of Jira Server.

We have a feature request to implement support for OAuth in this use case over in JRASERVER-63917.  I would recommend watching that ticket for updates here.  I'm not sure the exact time table for if or when this might be implemented, should it be added to Jira Server, that ticket will be updated to reflect which version(s) might contain support for the newer authentication methods.

Cheers,

Andy
