madjava June 18, 2019

Hello there, my SourceTree application logo has changed without my consent. How can i change it back to what it used to be or enable disable when i choose?

Thanks.

A couple of workarounds to those seeking a way to change the imposed Sourctree pride icon app. There are two options:

  1. Download in-app update 3.2.1 (I have not tested this personally).
  2.  For Mac, from the Terminal execute: perl -i -p -e 's/Pridetree/Bridetree/;' /Applications/Sourcetree.app/Contents/Resources/Assets.car

I have tested personally that this works.

Thanks Spiros and Marc,

Your second option (for Mac) worked like a charm for me :)

@madjavaWhat wrong with application logo? Why you need change it?

madjava June 18, 2019

Hello Vacily, thanks for your response, do you know if i can change it or not? nothing is wrong with the logo, it was changed without my consent and i want the old one back. If that's not possible then that's fine by me, just needed to know.

The logo is a temporary promotional thing you can and should completely ignore, it'll change soon without you needing to do anything.  Annoyingly, you can't change it yourself.

Hi Nic,

Thanks for your response, and for pointing out that is for a period only. Understood.

Hello,

To add in on this as well, there are some changes coming to this approach in the future, please check out this tweet thread that went out yesterday discussing the future plans surrounding this topic further:
