What is the difference between People and Access (CMP/TMP Projects)

This isn't a problem for me but rather a question I'd like to understand further.

Company-managed Project (classic) have the Permission and the People tab whereas Team-managed Project (next-gen) only has access.

I understand that permissions need to be configured via scheme and ultimately gives you that additional control over multiple CMPs - but why is Access and People different in the language/wording. Does it not serve the same function??

Some clarification or guidance would really be appreciated here - because I can't consolidate these two logically.

Hi @Yousif Hassan

I think here are the main differences between using different terms for company vs. team-managed projects.

  • Company-managed Projects (Permissions & People):
    • Permission schemes define what roles can do
    • People specify who is assigned to those roles.
  • Team-managed Projects (Access):

Thank you.

Thanks Victor - that is helpful. So Access is essentially a combination of multiple features isolated within one project - Permission Schemes, Project Roles, and the People functionality.
