Hi,

does anyone know how tomcat supports JIRA? What are the functions of tomcat with JIRA?

Can it be that it stands out with small amount of transfer data and at the same time and excellent performance?

Hi Elina,

I'm not quite sure I understand your question. JIRA is basically a web app that runs on Tomcat. The standalone version contains a bundled version of Tomcat 6, but JIRA is also available as an EAR/WAR edition that you can deploy to an existing supported application server - http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA044/Supported+Platforms

Provided JIRA is tuned and deployed correctly the performance is fine.

Does that answer your question?

Andrew.
