The default user avatars do not appear to be selected. We have a "list" of the grey/white no-avatar icons. We are able to upload a custom avatar and attach it to a user, but then that avatar is only visible to the user it is attached to, no matter who assigned it.

Thanks Turner. I checked and Gravatar is not enabled.

Hi Kari,

This may be due to Gravatar use being enabled in your instance. If that is the case then only Gravatar pictures will show up and no users can custom upload pictures.

If you guys are using JIRA OnDemand then you can visit <your base URL>/secure/admin/ViewApplicationProperties.jspa and check the Gravatar option.

If you are on an older version of JIRA go to your JIRA Admin settings and then to General System Settings for that option.
