Hi,

I getting below error when I am trying to publish an edited workflow. What does it mean and how to resolve this? Please help.

You cannot change the association between step '10062' and status 'On Hold'.

Hi @Lakshmi Kumari,

When you try to change an active workflow - this is a workflow that is currently being used inside a project - certain actions are not allowed. From this support article:

The specific error message you shared is something I haven't seen yet in my many years of implementing Jira, but the number in there most likely refers to a status that is in your workflow but is no longer available in Jira (or at least not under its previous name).

To try and solve this, make a copy of your workflow, try to remove the transition (and also review the unknown status that it appears to refer to). Since your copy will be inactive initially, there's less limitations in place. If you succeed in adjusting the workflow, replace the current workflow in your workflow scheme with the new version to make it active.

Hope this helps!
