Hello Neeraj,

Welcome to Atlassian community.

Sprints are used to properly track the progress of Stories (test cases) and better organize your team backlog. 

That been said, there's no point in adding a Story to a closed Sprint since all the work tracked by that Sprint were already performed, that's why JIRA does not allow you to add cases to a closed sprint, but only to a new one that's currently in progress or planned for the future.

Could you please let us know why would you need to add an issue to a closed Sprint?
